Good weather and good racing graced the Billygoats Osier Holt bumps party this year. Overall a very successful bumps for Billy crews with a net +7 performance.

M1 were +2 bumping LMBC II and Selwyn. On Saturday M1 went past Billy field with FTT breathing down their necks and Selwyn looking out of reach but as we craned our necks to see upriver and tried not to fall in we saw a bump and realised that we had got them!
M2 sadly went down 2, caught by Lucy Cavendish and Jesus III, both getting their blades.
M3 (the beer boat) did very well over the week, bumping Churchill III, Darwin II and Magdelene III but were robbed on the last day. Blades were on the cards but poor coxing by other crews resulted in the division having to be stopped and restarted. Unfortunately the restarted division also ground to a halt and there was no time for a further re-start so row overs were awarded to everyone who had not yet bumped.
W2 bumped Pembroke III.
W1 went up 3 catching Clare, Queens and Homerton. They were unlucky that Homerton got Clare (en route to spoons) on the first day so they couldn’t bump them. Revenge was had on the last night when W1 caught Homerton just before Billy field, to mighty cheers from the remaining supporters. Unfortunately it had been a hot and busy afternoon and when they pulled in to the side there was no Pimms left for them to celebrate with!

After picking some foliage and undeterred by our failure to save them some Pimms they treated us to a racing start, which we don’t often see up at Billy field.
